Amanda is originally from Virginia where she spent years working as an esthetician and medical assistant in dermatology. While attending college she was also earning her license as a master esthetician from the Institute of Advanced Medical Esthetics. She always had a passion for massage therapy, as it was a huge part of her life from a young age. When she was 12 years old she was diagnosed with severe scoliosis and underwent surgery. She has seen a massage therapist since then to manage pain and discomfort, and to maintain a healthy muscular system. When she moved to Maine in 2013 she decided soon after to pursue a career as a massage therapist. She decided to take a holistic route at Spa Tech Institute with her massage license, and therefore learned Polarity Therapy, and how to perform Reiki energy work, along with the massage techniques. After receiving her massage therapy license and working in the field, she quickly learned she had a desire to work deeply with the muscles and attended more accredited schooling for deep tissue therapy, and myofascial release. Amanda’s priority is to get you to a relaxed state, and then customize your session depending on your needs.
